generic article title?

• I would love to rename this article to "Internal Link Widget" or something, but I don't know what it's called. (Kleenex is a brand of facial tissue; Outbrain is a brand of...what is it? Outbrain has competitors, noted in links in the article's § on external links). Since Outbrain seems (to me, personally) to be the big fish in the pond of web-traffic-optimization, it's become the nucleus around which I've built the article. Any edits which can turn this into a more general web traffic optimization article are welcome; maybe then we can rename it. Mang (talk) 17:03, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

I ran into a story about chumboxes at https://www.gimletmedia.com/reply-all/123-an-ad-for-the-worst-day-of-your-life and I remembered creating this stub. I just want to say, after six years in existence, this article looks much MUCH better. Chumbox - not neutral?

Hi User:Hemiauchenia! New Wiki editor here. I saw that you reverted an edit of mine and a few others and wanted your feedback. I'm unsure about the word "chumbox." That doesn't seem like neutral language, especially when the source seems like an opinion piece? Perhaps the word chumbox is more appropriate for the "Reception" section? What are your thoughts? Looking forward to learning more. Thanks!

Chumbox really is the standard term to refer to the style of advertising used boy Outbrain and Taboola, just search google news for "chumbox" https://www.google.com/search?tbm=nws&q=chumbox&oq=chumbox outbrain is mentioned in nearly every result. Hemiauchenia (talk) 03:48, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

The SEC registrant now known as Teads Holding Co. (CIK 1454938) was formerly "Outbrain Inc."; EDGAR's former-name registry (SEC EDGAR registry) closes the old-name interval at 2025-06-09. The infobox still shows name = Outbrain Inc. with no former-names field and the lead never mentions the rename, while traded_as already reads Nasdaq: TEAD — internally inconsistent. The body mentions "Teads Holding Co." exactly once, unsourced, in a History sentence.
