Minor query

[edit]

Is it really best to use capitals in footnotes for titles that are presented quite suitably in that form on Web pages? Book covers very often use capitals for their titles, but who would cite the book title all in capitals? Lima 09:23, 11 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Removing "no confirmation".

[edit]

After the fact tag has been deleted I'm removing this text:

but no confirmation of this story by the cardinal himself was ever published.

I don't think WP:V includes a "silence equals consent" clause. If someone has made a big deal out of this then that's fine. If not then it (in my opinion) goes over the line with WP:NOR (See "Synthesis of published material serving to advance a position" - although I realise this is synthasising published and never published material).

If anyone thinks that it is appropriate to request a comment, that's fine.

Apologies for not being clear enough. Surely the cardinal must have been informed of such a controversial claim. And many people, on both sides, must have wanted to know his reaction. Did he deny or confirm the claim? Or did he do neither, either because he thought it too ridiculous or, on the contrary, because he did not want to hurt Agustoni? The now deleted text said nothing about that. It only said that no reaction of his was published. If any had been published, it would surely have been cited long before now. Doubtless, I should have written: "No confirmation (or denial) of this claim by the cardinal himself has been published." But the matter is not worth discussing further. I have also attempted to make the entry a less biased one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonkjolstad (talkcontribs) 12:12, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

What Exactly is the Intervention?

[edit]

I've read this article a few times over the years, and still I have no idea what the intervention concerned. Can someone who knows say exactly what it was.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:804:200:F340:2916:62D:ED2D:5263 (talk) 16:42, 9 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
