Coincidentally, "Strange and Unnecessary" is our family motto
[edit]The reverted markup uses template {{space+parenthesis}} ({{--)}} for short), which adds a narrow space before a closing parenthesis to keep it from crowding up against preceding italicized text, such as with a disambiguating term that is the name of a work. It's a subtle change, but nothing that strange, and no more or less unnecessary than other formatting markup.
