Coffeeshop... boring (?)

[edit]

I changed the part about the coffeeshop somewhat, since it contained some POV stuff, and some poor formulation. But, come to think of it, I'm wondering whether that information belongs in the article at all. It seems somewhat strange to me to be talking about coffeeshops in such a short article as if it is an essential feature of the city, while many other interesting subjects aren't touched (yet) at all. Don't get me wrong, I am in favour of coffeeshops being present, but I'd hate to perpetuate the image that many foreigners have about the Netherlands: the idea that this country is all about wooden shoes, windmills and coffeeshops. Or well, maybe the number of coffeeshops is one of the first things the average Wikipedia reader wants to know about a Dutch city. :S :) (RagingR2 23:22, 2 April 2006 (UTC))Reply

Other meaning of OSS?

[edit]

Can't OSS also mean "Operating System Support" - meaning the sevices that monitor and support a telecom network? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Holmkvist (talkcontribs) 12:19, 20 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request
