Weight function
[edit]why is the weight function assumed to be 1 in this article? shouldn't orthonormality as a property should be defined with respect to a weight function? Freshraisin
Request for explanatory image
[edit]Many people who, with a good explanation, are capable of understanding this concept, do not learn well from verbal descriptions and mathematical symbols alone. This concept could be illuminated with a visual example, with an explanation showing how certain properties of the diagram relate to the mathematical terms and symbols used. - There is an intuitive overview section which would seem sufficient for many people. What you are asking for is an image, which is a related but different request than asking for a "non-technical explanation". --C S (talk) 06:37, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit]In the section "Significance - Properties" in the first Theorem ... 1. Should the RHS of the equation be under a squareroot sign? 2. Are the modulus symbols necessary if one is squaring each scalar term? BlueEventHorizon (talk) 05:58, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
