Google orbea - results include: virology, plants, cycling, search engine, A cuban school,

research orbea: http://scholar.google.com/scholar?num=100&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=orbea&btnG=Search

IMO a non chauvinistic approach would be beneficial, sort of neutral. But it's not my say. --Halcyon 03:30, 12 January 2006 (UTC)Willy WonkaReply

Orbea (Asclepiadaceae) Semi Resolution

[edit]

The Asclepiadaceae page link has been changed to Orbea (Asclepiadaceae). Stylisticly it would still be better to have Orbea (bicycles), as it would be un-ambiguous to begin with, or encourage the shift/select through another screen. --Halcyon

Moved to Orbea (company) for neutrality's sake, I think a minor Basque company and a minor plant would deserve equal attention. Nightstallion 09:10, 13 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

The time line doesn't make sense

[edit]

The Spanish Civil War started after 1930 about 1935.

So the company divesrsified before the War. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.189.116.122 (talk) 22:49, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

The Spanish Civil War started in July 1936 to be exact- I changed the line to say in the 1930sand remove the SCW reference until someone can get a more accurate date as to when it diversified.Rednotdead (talk) 20:48, 20 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Additionally, the introductory paragraph in the History section says that Orbea was founded in 1940, but then goes on to describe its dealings in the 1930s. How is a company that hasn't been founded yet going to make guns, stop making guns, and then get involved in the Tour de France?PasqualesPizza (talk) 16:47, 3 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Frames made in Taiwan

[edit]

The text is somewhat misleading (possibly dated) as some Orbea frames are not made in Spain. The 2009 Onix, for example, is manufactured in Taiwan and then (to my understanding) shipped as a bare carbon frame to Spain where it is finished, painted and assembled before being shipped to retailers. --Tweezak, 8/15/09 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tweezak (talkcontribs) 20:09, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
