Road board discrepancy

[edit]

According to Bloomfield[1] the Orapiu road district dissolved in 1955 to form the Waiheke Road District, but according to an Auckland City Council history[2] Orapiu merged with Ostend in 1947. For Ostend Bloomfield states it was enlarged in 1946 and renamed Western Waiheke but does not mention that it took part of Orapiu as part of this enlargement.
