[edit]Added Serbia to the belligerents section, because they joined as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.118.169.147 (talk) 05:33, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Removed Serbia from list, does not posses a blue-water navy and no source sites Serbian involvement in anti-piracy operations in Somalia. Kuname (talk) 16:28, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
- Serbia is a part of the operation http://eunavfor.eu/lithuania-hands-over-eu-naval-force-vessel-protection-duties-to-serbian-forces-after-keeping-world-food-programme-ships-safe-for-four-months/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.149.221.44 (talk) 16:01, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
- This article doesn't say Serbia is involved, if it was, the forth months have passed. And Serbia doesn't have a blue-water navy therefore, it cannot be involved in any way. --92.240.58.7 (talk) 18:10, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
Implemented. This nation contributed non-naval assets, such as personnel to this mission as a non-NATO member per their Defence Ministry. Peripteros (talk) 05:39, 7 June 2026 (UTC)

Relationship of CTF 150, CTF 151, and Operation Atalanta
[edit]It would be very helpful to have an explanation of the relationship between CTF-150, CTF-151, and Operation Atalanta. Operation Atalanta a campaign of the European Union to stop the piracy off the Somali coast. Combined Task Force 150 and Combined Task Force 151 coalition force counter-piracy operations in the region.--DThomsen8 (talk) 12:52, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

EU Navfor Somalia - Operation Atalanta
[edit]Dear Middayexpress,
I represent the media branch of Operation Atalanta and noticed that following an update to the wikipedia page, you reverted to the original. Could I please kindly request that you allow us to make changes to ensure that the information displayed is correct.
Kind Regards, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eunavformedia (talk • contribs) 08:28, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hi. The EUNAVFOR webpage is deadlinked ; it also didn't originally use some of the indicated phrasing . Additionally, Wikipedia pages are named according to the most common name, which is not necessarily the official name. Here, it would be Operation Atalanta (please see WP:COMMONNAME). Best regards, Middayexpress (talk) 17:49, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
Are all these countries still active?
[edit]For example the UK left the EU. Historyguy1138 (talk) 18:29, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Looks like the UK has been moved into the non-EU member participation section; this mission will remain active until 2027, according to their official website. Peripteros (talk) 05:41, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
