Notability and WP:NOTMANUAL

[edit]

There ar two problems with this article.

Firstly, I am not sure that this topic satisfies Wikipedia's notability criteria. Of the two "references" in the article, only one of them looks as though it may possibly be a reliable independent source, and I am not sure even of that. That one source gives only rather brief mentions of the subject. A Google search produced all of 16 hits, and every one of those 16 hits suffers from one or more of the following problems: it is a Wikipedia page; it is a blog post; it does not actually mention "HMPP Open Standard" (perhaps there was a transitory mention of it which has gone since the last Google update); it gives only extremely brief mention of the subject.

Secondly, in its present form the majority of the article is written as a manual to tell us how to use HMPP Open Standard, which is not what a Wikipedia article is supposed to be, as can be seen at WP:NOTMANUAL.

It seems to me probable that the article will have to be deleted, and at the very least most of the material in it will have to be removed. however, rather than immediately proposing deletion I am raising the matter here to allow a little time for possible discussion. First improvements of the article

[edit]

Thank you for your comments.

Some references have been added in order to show the use of HMPP directives, which constitute the main subject of HMPP Open Standard. More examples are given in some of them.

I work on the remaining points.

Currently §2.6 - I would describe color #339933 more as "green" than as "blue".
