Tankard host cities & runners up

Work in progress...

Playoffs have been held since 1981. Between 1972 and 1980 and before 1967 the winner of the round robin won the event (before 1955 there appears to have been a playoff). From 1967 to 1971, it was a double knock out.

Before 1931, it was a double rink event. Not sure which team got picked to go to the Brier.

How many red links should be kept?

Please checkout WP:NOT. To begin with it says that WP is not a links repository, a directory, or a guidebook.

About forty pages (of 4,324,793) mostly lists (and sports and gov't) pages have the red link issues I'm cleaning up per the admin template Category:Wikipedia red link cleanup.

I am not a bot. I'd like some personal feedback on why anyone thinks the edit was reverted. I will be happy to work with a reasonable length list of redlinks to retain. Thanks, and happy editing. — CpiralCpiral 18:52, 10 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Do black names mean not notable? No, black letters do don't mean "not notable". So therefore, even making the assumption that all the red links are notable means none of them need be red, because the black ones don't mean not notable. This sounds as difficult as it really is, and the solution is to keep them (mostly) all black. (See the ol' discussions at WP:redlinks and the WP:OVERLINK and WP:NOT.)
"What links here" may be relevant, but I don't see how.
Please, by all means, have the editors helped, but there a request by the Wikipedia style guide to help it help readers read the whole of Wikipedia in a consistent style, and there a request by the admin template for help reducing red links counts here. Could there be win win for both WP and the editors of this article? There are many other ways to create articles and avoid notability discussions besides using red links as you seem to think should be continued to be done here.
I can relink the tables/article here in any way you wish. How might the cleanup template, the style guide, and I, help or hinder the editors efforts here? I see this article's style as an editor-biased way to make a single article turn many red-links blue, and fill the list/table with creation, motivated by a sort of redness. My opinion is that many red links, esp. the section title red-linking, are not the best style for this article to defend. I think the minimalist approach it uses is great, but that the tables could also appear in black with one blue link per name (per article or even per table) I don't think linking just about everything is the minimalist for source editors.
