[edit]

An article renaming discussion is taking place at Talk:ONEOK that affects this page. The discussion of the proposal should take place on that page, not here, so that all the discussion can be found together. —BarrelProof (talk) 21:47, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Capitalization of naming sponsor

[edit]

I work in digital communications at ONEOK, Inc., the naming‑rights sponsor for ONEOK Field, and am posting with a disclosed conflict of interest.

The article currently refers to the naming sponsor as “Oneok.” ONEOK is conventionally styled in all caps, and I’m requesting a capitalization correction to all instances of “ONEOK” where it refers to the naming sponsor. Per Wikipedia’s Manual of Style on capitalization, acronyms and company names are capitalized as they appear in the majority of reliable, independent sources.

Independent sources such as News On 6 consistently use “ONEOK” in all caps when referring to the naming sponsor and “ONEOK Field,” which supports updating the capitalization per MOS:CAPS.
