Merger proposal
[edit]I propose to merge Omuma town into Omuma. They are clearly both the same settlement and Omuma is the official name of the town. LarstonMarston (talk · contribs) 12:03, 7 May 2020
- Support the proposed merger, whilst Omuma town is better formatted and conforms to Wikipedia's standards/layouts Omuma is the official name of the town. Dan arndt (talk) 06:48, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose: the town is in the LGA Oru East, not in Omuma, so merging would be unhelpful. However, I accept that there are reasonable concerns about the name, so propose moving Omuma town to Omuma (town), and leaving hatnotes to distinguish between the two. Klbrain (talk) 11:15, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose: Omuma town is the Headquarters of Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State Suggest merging in the first place is a misplaced priority because the Omuma in River State should have been created as Omuma Local Government and not Omuma and that should be the point of context here [] the distance between them is about 145 kilometers. This is where we live we know all the terrain (talk) 10:19, 24 July 2021 (UTC)
- Closing; no merge. Klbrain (talk) 17:11, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
