Response to 10 August 2025 AfC review by MediaKyle

[edit]

Thanks for the review. This resubmission addresses the concern about the “minimum standard for inline citations” for a BLP.

What changed

  • Added inline citations for all challengeable claims, per WP:IC and WP:BLP (director role, WGS program, policy op-eds, Bridge2AI, leadership roles, research highlights).
  • Ensured references render: added ==References== and {{Reflist}}; resolved previous named-reference errors.
  • Replaced/limited non-independent sources: removed Google Scholar as a reference; added independent coverage from The New York Times Magazine, NPR, Wired, GEN, The Wall Street Journal, and STAT.
  • Added well-sourced roles/activities: ICGC-ARGO Executive Committee, Cancer Grand Challenges SAMBAI co-investigator, NCI Board of Scientific Counselors, and WorldQuant Initiative co-director.
  • Research/policy updates: added the NCI/ARPA-H/DOE “Undruggable Targets” workshop and the 2025 Nature Biotechnology Comment; standardized citations (e.g., {{cite journal}} with valid parameters; removed deprecated ones).
  • Style/housekeeping: neutral prose; consistent use of {{cite web}}/{{cite news}}/{{cite magazine}}/{{cite journal}}; sensible wikilinks (e.g., Christopher E. Mason, Lewis C. Cantley).

We believe the draft now meets verifiability and BLP requirements. Thank you for taking another look. 216.209.204.74 (talk) 01:53, 1 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Thanks for creating a biography for this influential computational biologist. It would aid communication, though, if you were to have an account; it's easy to registered, free and you can maintain anonymity.
