Primary topic

[edit]

User:Bkonrad Would you agree that Oligarch redirecting to Oligarchy should be the primary topic? Widefox; talk 09:13, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Possibly, if that article contained coverage of the oligarchs of Ukraine and Hungary as well as business oligarchs. But in contemporary usage, I think the term is used most often to refer to either the Russian or U.S. ultra-rich. olderwiser 09:25, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
OK, Oligarchy looks like a broad concept to me and I've added Ukrainian oligarchs and proposed merging the duplicate and weak Business oligarch into Oligarchy. From what you said this isn't obvious, so I'll leave it there for now. Widefox; talk 16:59, 6 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

American Oligarchs

[edit]

What about American Oligarchs like George Soros, Charles G. Koch, David H. Koch and Pierre Omidyar who are powerful Oligarchs and Donald J. Trump who is a much less relevant Oligarch?--217.92.58.201 (talk) 09:21, 2 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

See Oligarchy#United_States and the pages linked there. This is a disambiguation page that has links to topics someone might be looking for be searching 'Oligarch'. LynxTufts (talk) 13:15, 2 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
