Misleading translation needs correction

[edit]

"The line first opened on 9 November 1913 as the Funakawa Light Railway (船川軽便線, Funakawa Keiben)"

"Funakawa Light Railway" is a misleading translation of 船川軽便線, because it implies that it was built by some organization (or company) other than the government railway ministry. Correction needed. (The editor neglected the last kanji character in the line title. 船川軽便線 reads "Funakawa Keiben Sen.")

軽便線 refers to the 軽便鉄道法, the Light Railway Law (1910). 船川軽便線 might be translated as "Funakawa Light Railway Line." 175.143.61.89 (talk) 05:13, 6 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
