Cleanup

[edit]

Hmm, this one's tricky. My first impulse is to make a separate Military officer (disambiguation) page, and move the long list there, broken out in normal disambig style. The rest can probably be listed normally, per categories. Thoughts? --Elonka 21:19, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

It appears that only the Places, Officer (armed forces), and Officer (nautical) need to be dabbed here, along with a link to Wiktionary and the surname holder since the list isn't long enough for a surname article. I might keep police officer too. The types of officers don't need to be dabbed (IMO), but could be listed on List of types of officers, if needed. If kept on this page, a long See also section (possibly with the places other than Officer, Victoria) could be used while the other entries were moved up. Certainly the two Corps entries can be removed. -- JHunterJ (talk) 02:22, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Making it an actual article

[edit]

I think this page should be made an actual article, with a general introduction, followed by the different types of officers listed as subsections. A separate page, Officer (disambiguation) may be created for "Places in Australia" and the video game. After all, officer is linked from many pages, including office, where the target should be about officer in the most common sense and not about the video game.
