Confusion about year of construction

[edit]

The article mentions 1767 as the year of construction, while it also lists 1766 as the year when William Herschel was appointed as the organist and he gave his introduction on 1 January 1767. I cannot really reconcile those dates. In addition, the image linked to this article mentions it was opened in 1760, while it refers to the "Old Octagon Church". Perhaps, this article can try to explain this discrepancy? I found some reference that indicates a "New Octagon Chapel". Markus Nielbock (talk) 15:04, 5 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
