This page says that the Ocotillo Formation overlies the Brawley Formation, but the page for the Brawley Formation says that it overlies the Ocotillo Formation. It seems unlikely both statements are true? 2601:342:100:9000:ADD4:B66D:3E60:DB4F (talk) 15:41, 23 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

This paper seems to show that they are more or less side by side and zigzag across each other, so I guess technically both would be true, in certain places. But just saying that they overlie each other seems misleading. What's the correct term for this kind of arrangement?
