Something does not compute. This article says Obadiah Bush was born in Penfield, NY in 1797, but the town was not incorporated until 1810. Daniel Penfield acquired the land in 1795 but was not physically present until 1809. It is unlikely that the town had any identity as a place name, or that it was being called for its new owner, when Obadiah was born.
