Nyango Star playing the drums
Nyango Star playing the drums
  • ... that Nyango Star (pictured), a half-cat, half-apple character who plays death metal drums, helps fund a town with a declining population?
  • Source: Source: A death-metal–drumming, roly-poly, too-cute-for-words mascot [...] Kuroishi City, a rural farming community in northern Japan that's been hit hard by the declining population of the country over the past decades [...] the mascot generates revenue for the town via ticket sales and merchandising.

Overall: I might note that the town that's being funded is in Japan, just to help readers place this in the world, but otherwise no notes. GorillaWarfare (she/her  talk) 15:20, 9 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

    Magazine Ranking

    [edit]

It's dumb that it says that he was rated number 1 behind Will Ferrall at number 0, even if that's how it's ranked in the magazine, that's not a necessary point to copy from the source, if Will Ferrall was first then he's second, saying zeroeth and first doesn't make sense. 172.97.165.121 (talk) 17 May 2025 (UTC)

    • @172.97.165.121: You have a point; the magazine's numbering was presumably a joke, so it doesn't necessarily belong in this article. But it also wouldn't be accurate to say that Nyango Star ranked second. Perhaps we could phrase it like Nyango Star ranked behind Will Ferrell, who topped the list. I can't think of a better way to phrase it, but you can change the phrasing if you can think of something that sounds right. — Vigilant Cosmic Penguin 🐧(talk | contribs) 20:10, 17 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
