Broke "Novantae and Selgovae" into separate articles. Carried the talk page banners to the the talk pages of those articles. For information within the WikiProject Scotland banner, the parameters for class/importance/auto/needs-infobox were set by a bot on June 6, 2009. Notuncurious (talk) 19:45, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Novantae as a Roman name only.

The existence of the name Novant in Y Gododdin mentioned in the same section would suggest that it's use did post date Roman usage and the name is Celtic as evidenced by the southern tribe of the Trinovantes (tri-novantae).
