Cast/Character Descriptions
[edit]I noticed some disagreements with cast descriptions, so decided to open up a discussion so we can all go into more detail than an edit summary would allow. Theo wiki user (talk) 19:15, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
- Here's the rationale for my edit:
- Abby - removed mention of Vanessa Hsu, since what seems more central to her character is being a celebrity stylist herself. Vanessa's description would still reference Abby since that's Vanessa's role/link to the main plot.
- Bill & Dileep - changed "the" in their job descriptions to "a" since banks have multiple MDs & VPs.
- Paula - added her link to Wes.
- Kate - expanded on role.
- Guest stars - included some.
- the 3 students (Beth, Sarah & Marina) - Noting YoungForever's accurate point on them appearing in the co-stars section of the end-credits, after guest credits have rolled, I still believe they should be mentioned as they're noteworthy to the plot. Just as much as the Kate character, they're regularly significantly involved with Kel's subplot. They're far more important & frequent than your usual character billed as co-starring (typically day-player contract characters with names like "Chad's girlfriend", "E.M.T.", "Sexy Neighbour", "Friend #1", etc.). They're currently mentioned in 5 of the episode summaries in the article, and are more noteworthy than say, the Warren character despite that character being credited in the guest section (he's a Wes Dryden employee whom Josh starts a conversation with when crashing the after-work drinks the crew didn't invite Josh to in ep 2; he's also the one Josh's dad accidentally spilt coffee on in ep 7).
- Thoughts welcome. Theo wiki user (talk) 19:20, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
- You cannot promote actors. How they are credited on the on-screen credits determine if they are starring, recurring, guest starring, or co-starring. — YoungForever(talk) 23:34, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
- I saw you put them in prose format below those billed as guest stars. Fair 👍 Theo wiki user (talk) 15:05, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
