Proposed improvements to the article

Hello! We're planning to extensively add to this article using the draft created in our sandbox (User:BigtimeBurgerboy/Nose-leaf). Currently, it is a very short stub and we think it can be improved by expanding its biological and evolutionary context.

The changes we're planning include:

Expanded Lead Section - Rewrite of the current introduction section to better define what a nose-leaf is, its relation to nasal echolocation, and its evolutionary and ecological importance.

New Section: Phylogenetic Distribution and Evolutionary History - New section where we'll add details that nose-leaves are found in three bat families (Phyllostomidae, Hipposideridae, and Rhinolophidae) and likely independently evolved in different species, indicating parallel evolution related to nasal sound emission.

New Section: Anatomy and Morphological Variation - Additional details concerning the nose-leaf's structural composition (horseshoe, sella, lancet) and how it varies among species and its relation to beam shaping and potential trade-offs with internal nasal structures.

New section: Development - Include a brief section that provides current research and knowledge pertaining to the embryological development of nose-leaves. This would include frontonasal tissue expansion and associated muscle alterations.

Expanded section: Functional morphology and echolocation - Include current research and knowledge pertaining to how nose-leaf morphology influences echolocation beam directionality and frequency, and its interaction with other facial structures such as pinnae.

New section: Behavioral and ecological significance - Include current research and knowledge pertaining to how nose-leaf morphology is associated with ecological traits such as foraging behavior and habitat complexity in Phyllostomidae.

Additional references - Include peer-reviewed literature to strengthen references and bring the article more in line with current events and knowledge. This would include journals such as the Journal of Mammalogy, Journal of Acoustical Society of America, and Journal of Experimental Biology.

The intent of all of the above is to transform the current stub into more comprehensive knowledge pertaining to nose-leaf structure, evolution, and function in bats.
