Edit Request

[edit]

NOTE: I am proposing this edit for FleishmanHillard on behalf of Northside Hospital. I am a paid editor and am aware of the COI guidelines. I am submitting this edit request to propose revisions to the article in the hopes of addressing the two maintenance templates at the top of the article. We’ve provided an overview of proposed edits below and have proposed replacement content and sourcing below the overview (in the extended content) that we recommend to correct these issues and bring the article in line with Wikipedia standards.

Infobox

General Information

  • Add proposed paragraph in extended content summarizing Northside Hospitals and its specialties.

Northside Hospital Healthcare System

  • Remove this section due to lack of proper sourcing; factual information about the network was moved down to “History” section and properly sourced (see extended content).

Milestones

  • Change “Milestones” to “Rankings” and move to follow “History” section.
  • Remove J.D. Power and Associates award due to invalid sourcing.

History

  • Remove copy in existing History section due to lack of sourcing or improper sourcing; also removed non-neutral statements; add in recommended copy in extended content below which summarizes the sequential History of the network with third-party sourcing and focused on key milestones in the network’s history.
  • Remove information on merger with Gwinnett Health Systems due to it being a forward-looking statement.

Key Services

  • Remove section due to lack of proper sourcing.

  Clarification requested

  • The request contain two sections:
  1. One section which does not list the desired changes verbatim (instead, listing them as bulleted points)
  2. A second section which does list the desired changes verbatim

Having two such request formats can be confusing. The edit request should utilize an economy of formats by listing both the changes desired verbatim along with the reasons why. These should be listed together instead of being separated by intervening bulleted sections.[a] In the collapsed section below titled Request example, I have listed one such way this could be formatted to improve clarification of the desired changes.

Kindly rewrite your edit request so that it aligns more with the example shown in the collapsed section above, and feel free to re-submit that edit request at your earliest convenience. Regards,  Spintendo  12:10, 27 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Notes

  1. Having a change and its reason separated by 3 or 4 paragraphs of other reasons without a way of linking the two means that any reason could theoretically apply to any change (i.e., "outdated" or "incorrect figure given", etc.)

Clarification on Edit Request

@Spintendo: Thanks for your guidance on the format. We’ve re-organized the request in a format similar to the example you provided. Ultimately, our goal is to address the two maintenance templates currently on the page and provide new recommended content that hopefully will address these issues. Please see below and thank you for your consideration!

  Edit request declined

  • The information which is to be added has not been delineated. Instead, the added information has been incorporated along with previously approved claims in the History section, leaving the reviewer with no way to easily discern which of the claims are being added with the current request from those which have already been implemented.
  • The COI editor is asked to segregate claims which have not yet been approved from claims which are already approved. The COI editor is additionally asked to provide reasons for why the claims should be added if those reasons are not obvious.[1] Those reasons should be provided immediately adjacent to the proposed claims in question, rather than provided as a general introduction to the request. A sample request for how this should be done is shown below:

  Unable to implement

  • The use of the phrase "the most recent" is deprecated per MOS:RELTIME.
  • Please modify the request so that it uses (or refers to) time periods in a more standardized way (i.e., "the most recent expansion" being changed in favor of "the expansion which occurred in July of 2019", etc.)

Revised Edit Request

[edit]

NOTE: I am proposing this edit for FleishmanHillard on behalf of Northside Hospital. I am a paid editor and am aware of the COI guidelines. Based on previous feedback, I am submitting this revised edit request to add information on an August 2019 merger that isn’t included on the current page. The proposed addition has been edited for brevity and includes an additional source validating the merger. We took extra care to ensure this request followed all guidelines outlined in MOS:RELTIME throughout.

History

  • Add two sentences to the end of the existing “History” section with information about the August 2019 merger between Northside Hospital and Gwinnett Health System.
  • History section would now read:

Article ready for stub status if a non-press release indication of existence can be found

I have cleaned out all the press release sourced material. Wit a COI on the scene, let them do the work to find WP:RS reliable sources and suggest referenced text additions — Neonorange (Phil) 20:10, 23 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Northside Hospital may very well be notable (it's a consortium or some other set of hospitals in the Atlanta metro area), but this was never an encyclopedic article, sourced as it was, only to press releases. An encyclopedic article should include what readers would like to know: procedure outcomes, authoritative ratings, regional economic impact, incorporation structure...
At the moment, a Google search on >Northside Hospital Atlanta<, first hit, page right, quotes this Wikipedia COI article, sourced to Northside Hospital press releases. — Neonorange (Phil) 15:07, 24 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
