I saw a few references to Saxon as "Black Knights" in addition to Knights

Interesting, I found this passage from 1963 that said their colors were red and white:

Ah great find! Yeah, the "Black Knights" theme confused me too. They also used red and white in their Homecoming in 1960: https://www.classmates.com/siteui/yearbooks/4182819661?page=27&searchTerm=white

Origins and Roster Updates

Originally called the "Bayfield County Athletic League"...https://www.newspapers.com/image/1241109372/?match=1&terms=%22cable%20high%20school%22%20basketball Port Wing (eventually becoming South Shore) was in the league in 1937. So was Drummond. This would have been the initial roster of schools.
