I need help about editing, with citations.

[edit]

Is this even the right place to ask about editing details???

I want to add citations to this page Norma Zarky - Wikipedia. I've done some basic editing, but citations are confusing. Plus, I read some articles and watched a video or two but cannot get to the VisualEditor - no 'pencil' appears, I clicked "edit" and no options appear, all I get is the basic editing page with all the internal codes.

Anyway, I have a new source for information about, yes, this is my mother; these are papers donated by me and brother to Wisconsin Historical Society, the original pages received from a FOIA request in 1998 or so. I have a URL. https://search.library.wisc.edu/catalog/9913706030202121 These pages are viewable in person, but not online.

I also have scans of the original FOIA pages; and a slightly different version of the FBI portion of those pages from a very recent FOIA request, which came electronically and is more legible. These pages will shortly be posted on Internet Archive. I would like to add in that link, once I get it posted, so that readers can view the source material directly. So I wonder, how would I connect the [forthcoming] Internel Archive reference with wisc.edu cataloged item?

Also, I am still very vague about how to set up the entire reference links? Are the numbers automatically reset within the page if I add another reference? I have to redo this entire page.

Finally, and very distressing it is - almost all the links are broken because the organizations that my mother founded with others, (most notable example, Women in Film) are removing references to the original persona in favor of self-advertisement. So I can't even give a primary source for her role in WIF, e.g. So, I suppose these should just be shifted to links to her obit, or some newspaper content contemporaneous with the event, or some other source. Can you make other suggestions?

I appreciate the effort editors put into their work here, and also their finding (now assisted by 'bots'). So I am looking forward to some knowledgeable help here.

[yet how you can rate this as low importance in law for someone who was a major leader in changing the abortion laws is way beyond me]
