The article lacks a description of the city's role in the regional economy, so I prepared a short overview of the Nordport business park and several major companies located there as a possible starting point for a new section.
I have not edited the article directly because I have a conflict of interest involving one of the companies mentioned below, Serrala. I am therefore asking an independent editor to review the proposed addition and, if appropriate, implement it either before or after the “Transport and logistics” section.
Economy
Due to its proximity to Hamburg Airport, the Port of Hamburg and major transport links, Norderstedt has developed as a business location.[1] One of the city's major commercial developments is the Nordport business park, where international companies including Casio, tesa, Condair and Serrala have established operations.[2]
