Added Alternative OS section

[edit]

I feel that this is a very beneficial section to add to this article. People should be able to know that there are alternative options available to the factory installed OS.

Why was my edit removed? It's a very beneficial section to add. There's nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

Bluetooth

[edit]

Can anyone tell me if the 8G Nook tablet has Bluetooth as a hardware capability? I have looked all over the web and have found contradictory responses. I understand that the feature is definitely not available using the out of the box OS. I just want to know if the actual hardware has Bluetooth installed in it somewhere.

—The NT has an integrated Bluetooth card with its WiFi radio, but there is no antenna for the Bluetooth. With a root you can enable Bluetooth, but the range is only a couple of inches from the device.

merge with color?

[edit]

the 2011 "tablet" seems to be the exact same physical device as the nook color. They tweaked the software and gave it a new name and optional extra memory. Should these articles be merged? Gjxj (talk) 18:23, 7 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
