Is this term for real? I never heard it before (and I work in areas quite close). I added an "original research" notice --- if it is completely invented, the page should be erased, but even if it is not completely invented, the page should state clearly that it is rarely used. - I wouldn't have thought it was a term in itself - I would say "nonnegative" (as an adjective) is fine and Nonnegative matrix factorization is a thing, but I'm surprised there's an article about "nonnegative matrix" - not sure what this article is for. I work in related areas too.--mcld (talk) 19:47, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
I find the definition confusing: does this term apply only to matrices over the real numbers? otherwise, the notion of being non-negative is not clearly defined, i.e. for finite fields or the complex field.

Positive matrix shouldn't redirect to Nonnegative matrix
[edit]A positive matrix is a matrix in which all elements are strictly greater than zero, while a nonnegative matrix is a matrix in which all elements are equal to or greater than zero. Uranuscat33 (talk) 14:31, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
