Disputed claim
[edit]- The engines of on-road vehicles have advanced emission controls which are not found on those non-road engines. The non-road engines also emit air pollution particles at much higher rates
Fairly broad claim, with not much context - needs calling out, and if true a good reference. There are many types of "non-road" engine - why are they claimed to be worse? Prof.Haddock (talk) 00:47, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

Non-road engine?
[edit]I have never heard such a term used in the USA or Canada to describe an engine not used in a highway vehicle. Disregarding aircraft and marine applications, the term usually used is “off-highway”. 216.152.18.132 (talk) 08:56, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
