On the IMDB trivia page, it says that Martin Scorsese never met Bob Dylan. Does anyone else find that odd, considering Dylan appeared in Scorsese's The Last Waltz? Cubs Fan 04:50, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

The Washington Post hosted an online conversation about the film on 28 September 2006. Editor David Tedeschi and Producer Suan Lacy answered questions. The conversation included the following exchange:
Takoma Park, Md.: Did you meet Dylan?
Susan Lacy: No, none of us ever met him, except for Marty, who has known him for a long time. Because of the work they did together on the Last Waltz.
Susan Lacy: But Marty, and he has made a point of us, did not discuss this film with Bob Dylan. At all.
