1973 single with Dennis Brown and George Nooks for Joe Gibbs

[edit]

Colin Larkin's The Virgin Encyclopedia of Reggae states "In 1973 he sang 'Let the Power Fall on I' with Dennis Brown, George Nooks and the Mighty Diamonds for Joe Gibbs", which is repeated on a few sites that copy the text from the book - I've left this out of the article as it seems very dubious. I can find no record of this single existing, or of Dennis Brown recording with The Mighty Diamonds. Holness would have been 16 at this time and unknown, so it also seems unlikely that he would have been on a record with established stars such as these. The same book also states that George Nooks first recorded professionally in 1974. --Michig (talk) 10:49, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
