There are problems with the references here. Refs 5 and 9 are no longer active. Ref 7 goes to a Japanese text that when translated seems to have nothing to do with Ninian Smart. Only ref 12 is OK. The others are fine in their place but are to publications of Ninian Smart. I have just reverted a change in his date of death, but there is no reference, as far as I can see, to confirm what we have. I was a colleague of Ninian at the University of Lancaster and knew him quite well, so perhaps others should try to fix this. --Bduke (talk) 02:08, 16 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
