[edit]

A person claiming to be Nigel Knight, the subject of this article has posted on WP:BLPN, asking that it be deleted: see Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard#Nigel_Knight. As it is not entirely clear whether the subject would pass our notability guidelines (specifically WP:Notability (academics) in this case), I'm going to look into the matter - I'd appreciate comments from anyone familiar with the subject. Borderline notable. Has published two books which have had reviews. One from what I would consider a reliable source, another published in a Cambridge journal. The meat of the article seems to be focused on criticism of his books - not what a BLP is for, and an overly large personal life section that was completely unsourced. Have trimmed all that. I suspect better info could be found if searched for really hard. Someone being invited on to the BBC to debate Churchill is not a total nobody after all.
