[edit]Doesn't Nigam also mean Company in Hindi? I thought it's part of the elaboration of VSNL, and several other company names. --Ragib 01:01, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

- Nigam in Hindi also means Corporation e.g. लखनऊ नगर निगम (Lucknow Nagar Nigam) in Hindi is translated as Lucknow Municipal Corporationin English and उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य सेतु निगम (Uttar Pradesh Rajya Setu Nigam) in Hindi is translated as Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation in English.
