Bellow's translations suck

Níðhöggr → Nidhogg – I think we should use the English form here. It is established and functions etymologically (ie it doesnt mess with the sense), so there is no reason to use the Old Icelandic form. Blockhaj (talk) 23:48, 22 July 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. - Oppose - Níðhöggr is also widely used and is a more accurate reflection of the pronunciation (ð for example can be approximated as "d" or "th"). If we are to use an anglicised form, we could just as well use "Nidhoggr", which is also used widely. There is not just one English form. Using the Old Icelandic form avoids this issue. - Nidhoggr is archaized since English doesnt have neutrum suffixes, so grammar would be incorrect either way, and ð is not in the English alphabet. Blockhaj (talk) 02:35, 25 July 2025 (UTC)

- Support per nomination and DankJae. A simple Google search does confirm use of the proposed common English name.
