Game list

Which of the games on this list were actually designed by Pelling, and which were ports of games that were written by others? They should be separated out. --Elonka 22:18, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

Voynich contributions not notable

I've removed the information pertaining to Voynich as he is not a notable scholar for this crypto-document. However I'm retaining information relating to his game development career as his coining the term "gamification" gives some weight to the games he made.Simonm223 (talk) 14:41, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

Maybe Stephen Bax - but that'd be about it. Because, frankly, most of the media doesn't care enough about one coded book to pay any attention; which makes WP:RS hard to establish. Simonm223 (talk) 21:54, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

You must therefore be aware that the Voynich Manuscript has received an enormous amount of media attention over the last two months, which suggests the opposite of what you're claiming. Similarly, my book "The Curse of the Voynich" received a favourable 2007 review in Cryptologia by Augusto Buonofalce - http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/01611190701244541?journalCode=ucry20#.UyQuLGdF1aQ - and was subsequently cited in a 2008 Cryptologia article - http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/01611190701756585#.UyQu8mdF1aQ . Hence I suspect you're being a bit selective, and possibly a bit mean-spirited: a single sentence (or indeed clause) mentioning my decade-long Voynich research would hardly make this some kind of vanity bio. In addition to the 1987 A & B Computing interview, a more recent one exists but it seems to be WP:SPS. Therefore, it'd be questionable to include it as a reference here. Actually reviewing the sources in the AfD, none of the ones that claim he coined "gamification" look reliable. Very sparse reliable sourcing here.  czar 05:50, 9 December 2016 (UTC)

I didn't write this article (I'm not allowed to edit my own Wikipedia profile), but I did work on all the games listed, though not as a sole author after the 1980s. Which is nice. Nickpelling (talk) 20:54, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
