Bownde was not an observer of the Seventh day Sabbath (Saturday). Bownde's work was an elaborate argument for the keeping of Sunday (the first day of the week) as the Sabbath. This entry desperately needs to be edited, alas, I haven't the time right now.Sdbhist (talk) 21:14, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
