Only Six Engine Companies?

[edit]

In the late 1950's there were seven hose companies: Phoenix No 1, OH Booth No 2, Lady Washington no 3, Cataract hose no 4, Niagra steamer no 5, Young America no 6, and Engine Company 7 on Hooker Ave. My dad and I visited all seven of them in 1958, and they were all active. I do not have a published reference at the ready, but the newspaper from that era should have the information. --Walt White 138.162.0.43 (talk) 17:50, 23 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
