Affiliation

An IP editor has today attempted to change the affiliation to "Southern Baptist" and removed the "citation" that says the church is non denominational. To be fair, the citation is not the best ever - it is just a link to a SBC church directory, although checking does confirm the SBC do not list NewSpring church as one of theirs. The citation could definitely be improved though.

As the change today was unsourced, I have challenged and reverted. Please provide citations if you wish to put the information back in. I did go hunting myself on the church website and elsewhere and could find nothings saying the church is affiliated with the SBC so the existing information must stand. Stub Class

User:Old_Man_Consequences you have reverted my placing of a church stub template on this page. The page clearly is a stub. There is almost no information about the church here. The lead is a single sentence and the history section is an extremely minimal history that just about tells us who the pastors are and that there is a debt and nothing more. There are no church activities and nothing that makes this notable. In fact, if I went on this article alone, I would nominate it for deletion as not notable. Yet I think the church IS notable, and deserves some work on this page. Placing the stub template is meant to signal to editors that they can help by expanding the page. It is meant to help improve the page.

Proposed merge of NewSpring Worship into NewSpring Church

I propose a merge from NewSpring Worship into this page. This page and that are both stubs, with limited information. Furthermore the worship page does not meet notability guidelines for a page in its own right as the subject, a worship band, is not the subject of significant secondary coverage. However the information on that page is relevant to this one and could be used to expand the parent article. The information there is relevant to this article and can be completely covered here. Perry Noble controversies
