In the track-listing section, there is a note saying that Mark Lanegan claims to have made uncredited lyrical contributions to Something In The Way. But the source is quote from Nick Oliveri from after Lanegan had died. There are no other sources from anyone else or even Lanegan. Regardless these would still just be claims, not confirmed. It's only placement then was as a footnote in the track listing, which is probably the most inappropriate place for that kind of detail. Spencer Elden in his adult life is an artist.
It is a matter of public record that he had requested the surviving members of Nirvana to help him publicize his artwork, but they were not interested in doing so.
Some people have made the observation that only after the members declined to do that, he began a legal case in which he claimed that he had been sexually exploited as an infant by that album cover. Tesseract12 (talk) 21:21, 21 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Do you have a reliable source for this? That's very interesting, but if you don't have a good link with it then there's not much of a point to add it into the article.
Look, Tesseract, making comments like this on the talk page isn't necessarily a BLP violation because we discuss stuff like this here to find what's good enough to be in the article. I mean, that's one of the main points of a talk page. Removing this stuff discourages open discussion, and it increases the likelihood of repeating the same topic; I'm grateful that you mentioned the artist detail because it enables me and other Wikipedians to consider its value and whether or not it should be included on the article. Removing these comments may also remove constructive thought, or at least a chance for it. Don't feel guilty bringing this up at all. Carlinal (talk) 18:34, 28 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

level-5 vital article is rated GA-class on Wikipedia's content assessment scale.
