Major Overhaul

[edit]

Did a giant overhaul of the article and corrected many factual errors. Still have to flesh out the application section and include more references.  Preceding unsigned comment added by SeanBob123 (talkcontribs) 22:28, 28 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Great start

[edit]

Thanks for getting this article started Enkyo, I had suggested that Nengo be removed from redirect to Japanese Eras and added as a disambiguation. The editor that did the disambig and redirect work as well as this stub (Enkyo2) also asked if this was notable. It is the highest or second highest meaning for the term on all the search engines, and is the largest sim of the human brain on the planet. Since it's open source, it is accessed by thousands of researchers. I'm a developer and there are researchers in Neurology and Robotics (as well as medicine) all over the globe who use it. From a notability standpoint, I'll be happy to contribute to fleshing this article out, as there are hundreds of journals that reference the sim and system, but I'll have to find links to the ones that allow public access. The book Enkyo referenced is from the University of CA Waterloo, which is the "home" of the sim and has numerous other references we can tap for both notability and to fill out the article. I'm not in Canada but do have a copy of the book so I can add additional refs as well. Pdecalculus (talk) 04:13, 24 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
