Simply insane. Modern Lysenkoism in pure form.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.206.27.165 (talk) 18:30, 15 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

I request for where it says "less commonly called Congoid" to be changed to "less commonly called Congoid or Ethiopid" since the Negroid race used to be called the Ethiopian race. ~2025-36493-97 (talk) 11:55, 26 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Johann Friedrich Blumenbach referred to the Negroid race as the "Ethiopian race". ~2025-36176-14 (talk) 14:23, 26 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Are there sources to prove what Blumenbach said"? ~2025-36663-42 (talk) 20:17, 26 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yes. See Johann Friedrich Blumenbach. Matt Deres (talk) 15:43, 27 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. But if you look really carefully, you'll see that there are lots of references on that page, which confirm what he said, including links to his published works. ~2025-36663-42 has many, many options available to study what Blumenbach wrote and they're nicely organized in that article. Should the edit request be implemented? ~2025-37161-45 (talk) 15:41, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Not without a specific source. Our article at Ethiopid race seems to have references that support the assertion, but the only one that I have access to is the first cite and the text in the book actually says that the Aethiopids "...are an essentially Europid subrace with some Negrid admixture" (page bottom here), which not only doesn't support the assertion, but works against it. Did you review the sources listed on the Blumenbach article and find any that were a suitable citation? Matt Deres (talk) 17:56, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
