that picture is disgusting and tasteless. i object to this article for that reason.
Well, it illustrates what the article is about. If you hate this article because of the picture, you'll really hate the articles on female genitals, which have actual photographs of vaginas and labia! Oh no! And I notice you didn't even sign your comment. Nice. On the other hand, the image's page links to a pornographic website. While it's nice that she released the image into the public domain, it's still against the rules to link to actual porn on Wikipedia, as far as I'm aware. Maybe the link should be removed. Also, if a more appropriate yet still illustrative picture could be found, then it should be used instead. Until then, I see no reason to remove this image. --The Almighty Doer of Stuff
I also think it's a bit excessive. People who're looking up 'vagina' or something like that expect nudity, but you don't expect to see breast if you look up 'negligee', especially if you don't know what the word means (I didn't). Image seems to be Spam since it is showing a picture of a woman in a negligee, then pointing people to a pornographic website: I am removing the image, there must be a better image of a negligee out there somewhere. Benjamin 03:50, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

The French word is 'Négligé', not 'Négligée', so 'Négligée' can't be an alternative to 'Negligee' because it doesn't mean what it is. (Means neglected for a woman). Please correct this. 82.123.215.10 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 14:30, 8 August 2010 (UTC).
