In the meanwhile: it’s a good policy to have a survey of dates from sources in articles about time periods; for smaller mentions (ex. at the start of “Atenism under Akhenaten” here: “Amenhotep IV, the son of Amenhotep III, was crowned king c. 1353 BC.”) circa is your best friend

How could he have been the eldest? Had he been the eldest, he would have become pharaoh instead of Khufu. The eldest son, as evidenced by his title eldest king's son of his body, was vizier Kanefer who died before his father, as evidenced by Nefermaat's appointment as vizier. I removed the image below as the hieroglyphic text added below in blue is full of errors - writing direction changing, signs missing, translation below the glyphs not matching the text. Would be great to have the original image on top, but the hieroglyphs in blue underneath should be left out or completely redone:

Sidenote: the UCL link (second reference) actually shows how the titles break down and is good. Don't see how to integrate that into the text without making a whole new file, though:-(
