Why is Mohan date of birth inconsistent?
[edit]I just want an answer.

Repetitiveness
[edit]I feel like this article has a lot of repetitiveness, especially about Mohan's time in DoubleClick and Google. Doron1803 (talk) 19:48, 3 September 2023 (UTC)

No mention of censorship policy
[edit]"Raja Mohan" is known for vastly exceeding Susan in the degree of lopsided speech policing and advocacy of globslist and leftist policies. His role in suppressing speech and its impact on US elections should be discussed. 2603:9000:E700:6050:E529:E0AE:C63:A56E (talk) 08:22, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

Misspelled CEO as CPO

Bobbythebobs1997 (talk) 06:20, 2 March 2025 (UTC) Neal Mohan was misspelled as "CPO" i wanna correct the word "CEO" so mistakes wouldn't be made or something.
Not done: there is no mistake: he became CPO in 2015 and CEO in 2023. M.Bitton (talk) 15:52, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
A correction and Time CEO of the Year
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hi, I'm Kat from the YouTube / Google comms team. I've been asked to request a few updates for this Wikipedia article, starting with one that is super straightforward:
1. Please can editors correct the line in Early life stating that his parents are Indian-Tamils? This is not correct (they are not Tamil) and is not in the cited reference, which just says that his father was born in Lucknow. I see there's a few sources online that state his family is Tamil, but these seem to be based on the mention in this Wikipedia article.
2. In December, he was named Time's CEO of Year. Can this be added to the Career and / or to the introduction? I've taken a shot at potential language and included sourcing below:
Appreciate editors reviewing this request. Let me know if I can share anything else to help with these requested edits. Kat for YouTube (talk) 23:03, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi User:M.Bitton: I saw that you'd responded to a past request on this article's Talk page, would you be able to help with this one? Really appreciate any time you can spare to take a look. Kat for YouTube (talk) 18:42, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi User:MSincccc: Excuse the ping, it looks like you're the last editor to have edited this article. Would you be able to help with this request? Kat for YouTube (talk) 17:18, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for your help, User:Ianmacm.Would it be reasonable to also add the Time CEO of the Year to the introduction, since it's a major recognition? Kat for YouTube (talk) 23:50, 4 May 2026 (UTC)

Updates for Other ventures
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hi, it's Kat again from the YouTube / Google comms team. I have another request for this article, this time to bring information up-to-date about Neal Mohan's board and advisory roles listed in the Other ventures section of the article:
1. He is no longer on the Stitch Fix or 23AndMe boards. Can that be updated?
2. Please can his current board roles and advisory positions be listed?
Again, to hopefully make this simple, I've written up a draft with sourcing. The first sentence is currently in the article, the rest is new:
- Mohan has also worked at Microsoft and sat on the boards of Stitch Fix and 23andMe.[2] He resigned from the Stitch Fix board in December 2023,[3] and from the 23andMe board in September 2024.[4]
- As of 2026, he sits on the board of directors of Starbucks and the board of trustees for the Paley Center for Media.[5] He also serves on the Advisory Council of the Stanford Graduate School of Business and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.[6]
Appreciate help from editors to review and make these edits. If there's anything editors need as they review, just let me know. Kat for YouTube (talk) 21:11, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hi User:Ianmacm, I spotted that you've recently been editing the YouTube article and appear to be an experienced editor and I'm hoping you can help me with my requests here. It's been really quiet on Neal's page since December and my pings to editors haven't reached anyone yet. Would you have a moment to look at this request and / or the one above? Kat for YouTube (talk) 15:32, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you again, User:Ianmacm. Kat for YouTube (talk) 23:52, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
Awards and recognitions to add
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hi editors! It's Kat from the YouTube / Google comms team with another short request. In the last few years, through his role at YouTube, Mr. Mohan has received some major recognition that isn't included in this article yet.
Would editors be ok with adding an "Awards and recognition" section or including these pieces of recognition somewhere else in the article? I've included a draft below outlining the honors that are the most high profile and encyclopedic. (These include the Time CEO of the Year, which is now at the end of Career).
Thanks in advance for considering this! Kat for YouTube (talk) 23:58, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- Awards and recognition
- In 2023, Gold House included Mohan as an A1 honoree on its Most Impactful Asians A100 list for his impact on business and technology.[7][8] He was included in Fortune's 100 Most Powerful People in Business at number 69 in 2024,[9] and at 83 in 2025.[10] He was also ranked 4th on Variety’s 120 Most Powerful Executives in Entertainment in 2025.[11]
- Mohan was named Time CEO of the Year for 2025.[12] He was also named the The Economic Times' "Global Indian of the Year" for 2025.[13]

Done I changed around some sources for variety (pun not intended) and because I was unsure of a Forbes article's contributor status. MetalBreaksAndBends (talk) 15:51, 5 May 2026 (UTC)- Yes, WP:FORBESCON is usually discouraged as a source. ♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 16:19, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
- I meant, I was unsure if an article was by a contributor. MetalBreaksAndBends (talk) 16:20, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you User:MetalBreaksAndBends, appreciate you looking at this so quickly. I have a follow-up question, if either of you has a moment: Could the Time CEO of the Year be mentioned in the introduction, perhaps by moving the mention that is currently in the Career so that it's in the introduction instead? New award to add
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hi, it's Kat from the YouTube / Google comms team with a quick follow-up request, to add a brand new award to the Awards section of this article.
The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) honored Neal Mohan in its 2026 awards, can this be added to the Awards section?
- In May 2026, Mohan was presented with a TAAF Award by The Asian American Foundation for being an Asian American leader in the entertainment and technology industries.[1]
