This is a work in progress. I hope to add some more sections, including one on the critics of the NMDP (for not recruiting enough minority donors, for one thing).

Nice start, Spiff666! Another useful addition would be a section on other marrow/cord-blood donation registries, e.g. the American Bone Marrow Donor Registry (www.ambdr.org), the specialized registries for people of color, and international registries. How do they fit into the picture with NMDP? It's hard for a potential donor to know where to proceed from a search-engine page because so many registries are listed. susato 18:44, 16 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I've got a laundry list of thing to add to this main article, and I'll add to that list your sugestion to differentiate the different registries. --Spiff666 21:26, 22 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I added the "Other U.S. Registries" section today. This is a start, but I hope to add some more details that will show how the different registries work together (some work together better than others!) --Spiff666 21:37, 25 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
