The EAN has been renamed
[edit]According to this document dated to November 10, 2022, the Emergency Action Notification has been renamed to the "National Emergency Message" due to the term being unclear to the public. The page should be changed to reflect this. BNSF1995 (talk) 12:18, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
References in need of updates
[edit]Hey I noticed that the references behind [12] and [14] were broken. One was a YouTube link of a video that is now private (who knows when it will be un-privated) and the other is of a domain that is no longer available (it's now up for sale). EAN message in “The order of Broadcast” needs to be cited
[edit]The EAN message in particular is identical to that used in hypothetical EAS mock scenarios, and appears to be unrealistic as it uses “The Following Message is transmitted at the request” as a preroll, which is strictly used by the National Weather Service to broadcast civil emergency alerts. Is there any source that can clarify the accuracy of this message that isn’t an EAS scenario? Jaquavious watterson (talk) 17:14, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
