Nubt is Naqada??

[edit]

Why does Nubt redirect to Naqada? Nubt with its Set-temple and pyramid is 7 kilometers north of Naqada with its cemeteries. Cush (talk) 10:54, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Absolutely right. --ⲫⲁϯⲟⲩⲉⲣϣⲓ (talk) 14:41, 30 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

General misunderstanding

[edit]

"General expansion needed. Other articles indicate that this was an important city in especially Nubian history." - i'm pretty sure it refers to another Ombos – Kom Ombo, not this one. --ⲫⲁϯⲟⲩⲉⲣϣⲓ (talk) 14:41, 30 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Naqada (archaeological site)

[edit]

Unless there is a serious objection I plan to, at some future date, create a seperate article for the archaeological sites that make up the Naqada Site, before upgrading the text. Only one site (de Morgan's site) is nearby the village but the other two are 3 (Cemetery N ) and 7 (Nubt) kilometers away. And combining archaeology with living people never ends well in a wikipedia article. Sooner or later it gets messy.Ploversegg (talk) 23:42, 28 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hearing no objections ... I will ponder how to create "Naqada (archaeological site)" and turn the Naqada article into the settlement article it should be. Ploversegg (talk) 01:53, 23 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
