Etymology

I've removed the etymology section. My reasoning is: It's not actually etymology- it's just an absurdly long word definition that can be boiled down to the literal definitions in the intro. Wikipedia is WP:NOTDICTIONARY. If I've missed something important in the way of cultural context from that section, that something should be added to the overview.
